I’m currently at the Chicago Chinese Christian Conference and had the opportunity to present a workshop about helping youth persevere in the faith through college.
We had a great group of attendees who were willing to share and discuss the topic.
Hopefully they can return to their churches and help their students make college a good experience!

Free Christmas Download from Max McLean

We listened to His Christmas Story by Max McLean on Friday night at Sr. High Bible Study. It is now available (for a limited time) as a free download.
Here is a description of it from their site:
When we hear the Christmas story what do we feel? Is it just a nice story? Well, yes. But it is also telling us that a huge event has just taken place; an event so big that it changes everything. Why? Because the infinite, eternal being who created all things decided to pay us a visit, knock on our front door, get to know us and find out about our hurts and our pains.
Feel the weight of this extraordinary event in this new 25-minute scripture CD that explores the size and magnitude of Christmas. Make this a part of your holiday celebrations.Track Listing

Conversation Stoppers Relating to “New” Discoveries
Conversation stoppers are those questions that nearly everyone on the street knows to ask when the sensitive subject of Jesus comes up. They might say, “Well, what about all those other Gospels that never made it into the Bible?” Or, “Don’t you know that history is written by the winners, and now that we can hear the losers, we need to revise the Bible’s story?”
In this article Bock writes on “how to respond to the next blockbuster book/documentary/movie that questions traditional Christianity.”
