Five Reasons to Study the First Five Books of the Bible

  1. They are rarely ever read much less studied. (When was the last time you heard a sermon on Leviticus?)
  2. They are foundational to the rest of sacred Scripture.
  3. There are some incredible stories therein.
  4. They encourage our faith by seeing over and over again a faithful God in the midst of a faithless people.
  5. They are part of Scripture — why would you not study them?
